Starting with Week 2, I will require labs to be checked-off. Each lab will be worth 0.5 points. At the end of the semester, if your total number of lab points is fractional, I will round up.

I understand that many of you would prefer to do your labs at home. This is fine with me, but you will need to e-mail your completed lab to me by 11:59 PM on the Monday of the lab.

I encourage everyone to attend the lab section, however. The lab assistants and I won't be able to help if you if you work from home and run into problems.

I plan to have about 4 quizzes during the semester. These quizzes will be short and will given during the Wednesday discussions. Each quiz will be worth 1 point. The tentative dates for the quizzes:

• March 8
• April 12
• May 3
